Exchange policy for cosmetics at target?
i bout maybelline concealer and its a shade too light but i did open it and test it (hardly used at all) so if i go back tomorrow with the receipt, can i exchange it for the same product (in different shade) or will i have to pay extra?Exchange policy for cosmetics at target?
target is horrible for returning or exchanging things. and store like wal mart and target will not let you return make up. even if it's un opened, i've tried before.Exchange policy for cosmetics at target?
No, as long as you didn't use it, and you have a receipt, they should let you exchange it for a better shade that's actually your color. Target has a decent return policy.
Hope I helped %26amp; Good Luck!

Why is the shipping costs for E.L.F cosmetics so expensive? Is there a way to lower the cost?
It says $6.95 on the siteWhy is the shipping costs for E.L.F cosmetics so expensive? Is there a way to lower the cost?
because, even though their stuff is cheap, there's not really a way they can negotiate the price with the united states postal service. sometimes, though, e.l.f. has promotions, like buy 50 dollars worth of stuff, and get free shipping. keep on the lookout for them!

Which cosmetics are animal free and animal cruelty free?
I am against using animals for testing cosmetics and their ingrediants.Which cosmetics are animal free and animal cruelty free?

U can check the label if it says that it has not been tested on animals, then there u go!
bioelements- they don't even use animal product in the makeup. most do.
did you know that most mascara's made from bat poop? not bioelements
i believe all the burts bees products are not tested on animals. they work great i love them
Philosophy, The Body Shop. Check on the back of the bottle. They will say ';Not tested on animals.';
Burt's Bees has a line of makeup. You can check out their website to get more information. www.burtsbees.com
The Body shop!
Hey, check this website out! It's called Bare Minerals, the makeup is made of totally all minerals nothing in it is chemical and it's soooo much better for your skin. It's expensive, though, but it is definatly worth it!!!! Bareminerals.com
Arbonne International!!! Certified Vegan, no animal products or by-products, no testing on animals. If you'd like more info feel free to contact me.
Body Shop ;)
I'm Pretty sure NYC is non-animal testing
My favorite makeup as an professional makeup artist is TRUCCO. It's a professional line sold in high end salons. It's made by Sabation. It's not only animal free testing but long lasting and flawless finish. i use it on brides and prom girls. I love to share my skills with women to inhance thier natural beauty.
Go to www.peta.com and search for cruelty free products. You can also check the labels of the product but some give tricky answers like 'finished product not tested of animals'. This does not mean that products in that were not tested on animals.

I am about to start a cosmetics business. The first product is lip gloss. Any tips or ideas?
It should give some actual color and taste yummy. like coffee. or strawberries.I am about to start a cosmetics business. The first product is lip gloss. Any tips or ideas?
well since its lip gloss (and i love lip gloss) i think you should have them in all types. like lip gloss in those brush bottles, tubes (the one that you squeeze), the lip glosses that you twist from the bottom, and the lip gloss you can apply with your fingers.
have them in delicious flavors. fruity is usually popular. have them in different colors that can attract buyers. you can even add glitter to some, but not too much. also have those solid colors also, and those nice clear colors. make sure the packaging is nice too. you can try to make flavors that you havent seen yet out there but are really nice and you would know girls would love it. make sure it smells good too.
have them to be long lasting. thats a good one. and make sure its not tested on animals or whatever. make it not sticky. stickiness is so annoying.
good luck!I am about to start a cosmetics business. The first product is lip gloss. Any tips or ideas?
Make sure that you have a well prepared business plan. Study your top competitors. Almost every week someone starts their own cosmetic business, but most of them fail during the first 6 months due to poor planning and lack of marketing skills. GOOD LUCK!!!
Definitely good smells/tastes. Nothing worse than a lip gloss that looks good but tastes/smells nasty. I love Burt's Bees products, because they smell/taste/feel really nice. Something like that maybe? And - skip the glitter. I'm pretty sure that fad is over. Best of luck!!! :)
i loved flavored lip gloss with just a tad bit of color. and nothing sticky...i hate when i press my lips together and it's all stringy and sticky. Good luck!!!
Make it real shiny but not sticky, flavored with something most people like, have it good that it last through the day.. That's what a lot of people want, most of us hate it when we have to keep reapplying our lip gloss, or when the lip gloss is so sticky, that if the wind blows, and our hair touches the lip gloss, it sticks to it, and when you remove your hair, you would have to touch it up again.
And here's a quick tip which you may or may not know. If you have some ideas, make them and like hand them out to may be family and friends, or random people on the street or something, and take like a poll or review to see how you could improve the product. Basically, experiment with them.
Once you get that, THEN, start marketing it. Or else, if you just start selling it based on the tips or ideas here on yahoo answers (not that I'm saying it's bad, but we wouldn't know till we really tried it), you might be able to sell much.
Oh and by the way, if you could, email me when it's done. Like the name and where I can purchase it. I would definately support you if it was good and get all my friends to buy it too! :D
Experiment/test with your products first, then you'll be better able to help your clients pick whats best for them. I always hate when I buy lipstick/lip gloss that I constantly have to reapply throughout the day. By experimenting with the products, you can help your clients determine whats best for them.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

um i think definitely you should have colored lip gloss. not just clear and make it really thick and juicy! i dont know if this is possible but you could experiment with lip gloss that lasts longer. i hate replaying over and over again through the day.Electric Scooter

Apply haldi along with the curd daily and see the difference
why are you ppl obsessed with lightening skin? own your skin color and make it work. you don't see beyonce go lighten her skin. infact a lot of people tan.
the colour of ur skin is dependent on the amount of melanin in it! so u really can't change that! what u can do, however, is get rid of uneven tan or blemishes that may be making your skin look darker than it actually is...also u can make ur skin glow by eating right, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and avoiding stress!
apart from that, i can recommend some therapeutic natural skin care products that i use and really like - the face rejuvenating cream, almond scrub, and wild rose face mask by Shene (http://www.sheneherbals.com)
always wear sunscreen ......try to avoid unneccessary sun.take care of skin well
fresh aloe vera gel or packed gel available at the stores ..... you cannot become totally fair but for sure your skin will glow..... complexion will improve 5 times insense your skin can lighten 5 times than what is your actual colour
Apply fresh (unboiled) milk for 2 min every morning. If possible try applying kesar mixed with cream at night. Use a face pack of sandal, fuller's earth and rose water.
haldi and besan mix,or lemon juice before going to bed .it ll work in a week if you continue the same on daily basis n it ll give a glow to ur face also
apply raw potato for 5to 8 min. then wash
Avoid going out in hot sun particulary between 11.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. The UV rays are strongest during these timings. Even walking under an umbrella or the tree shades will result in tanning of your skin through the reflected light.
Don't expose your skin to direct light anytime during day. If you follow the above instruction for a fortnight. I gaurantee, this will definitely make you a shade fairer.

Has anyone tried any good cosmetics to cover dark circles under the eyes?
Skin under the eye is very thin. When blood passes through the large veins close to the surface of the skin it can produce a bluish tint. The more transparent your skin the darker the circles appear. Also if you are exposed to the sun, even in people with darker skin, exposure to sunlight, especially during the summer months, can cause a higher-than-normal level of skin pigmentation (melanin) under the eyes. The same principle applies to the skin under the eyes. Also lack of a balanced diet, the lack of nutrients in the diet can contribute to the discoloration of the area under the eyes. And also fatigue and lack of sleep eventhough i understand we cannot always sleep a lot, but this is a fact, lack of sleep or excessive tiredness can cause paleness of the skin, which again allows the blood underneath the skin to become more visible and appear darker. The skin can also become paler during pregnancy and menstruation, which again allows the underlying veins under the eyes to become more visible. If you have a tendency to have dark circles under your eyes, as you grow older, they are likely to become more noticeable and permanent. The thinning of skin under the eyes will also make dark circles more pronounced. Puffiness or fullness of the skin under the eyes can be due to a number of causes. If mild, these changes are usually temporary and don't require medical treatment. Causes may include changes in your body's fluid balance such as due to weather changes, travel or hormone fluctuations. If itching or redness accompanies the puffiness, it may be due to an allergy. I use and love Arbonne's NutriMinC庐 RE9 REpair, Corrective Eye Cr猫me, (i buy it online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com under shop online) you will enjoy immediate visibly firming and moisturizing benefits. This formula moisturizes the delicate skin around the eyes and reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. the best thing is that they are formulatted with botanical principles and formulatted without mineral oil, animal prooducts or fragrances which all these ingredients are very harmfull for our skin.. Mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skins health for it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing ourselfes to the sun, animal products come from dead animals and these come from rendering plants these plants pick all dead animal and dead animal parts (from meat houses, etc.) and they put it in a huge pot, squash everything and boils it, what ever comes to the top is the oil other companies use to elaborate thier products, gross I know...the lipstick... ewww anyway, that is why i use botanically based products which is way much better because they get absorbed and the nutrients inside the products is what helps our skin look and feel healthy...they are not sold in stores but it is a great way to buy becasue they have this money back guarantee if for some reason there is something you do not like from the products you get your money back guarantee (within 45 days from purchase) so you have nothing to loose, only the dark circles;).... I know the info is too much but hope this is helpfull!!!Has anyone tried any good cosmetics to cover dark circles under the eyes?
benefit has a good one but cant remember the name. its a bit pricey but will last for ages so its worth it. ask at a benefit counter - most boots have them- and they will help youHas anyone tried any good cosmetics to cover dark circles under the eyes?
concealers ask in your pharmacy they'l advise u, x
Mary kay has a great product- It used to be the yellow concealer- I think that they have replaced it with a new product.
this article has a peice on bags under the eyes and how to help it. you could try more sleep or more water intake for each day.
For a cosmetic use a good concelar by Bare Esencutals or Maybelline or just a brand you trust then during the night or relaxing time use cucumbers and teabags {one or both} and you should look great!!
P.S. Try Bare Esenctuals ';well rested'; my mother just bought it and its amazing!!
'Touche Eclat' or Boots' cheaper equivalent: No 7 Instant Radiance Concealer - it works!
Try Preparation H. Seriously! Just don't brush your teeth with it.
Out of the shadows by Virgin cosmetics is excellent - just as good as Touche Eclat but half the price. Could not go out without it (sad huh!!)
Clinique does a really good one
small fresh cucumber pieces left on your eyes 4 10 min
you only need to consider one thing; Touche Eclait by YSL. nothing else comes close.
oh yea I use this yellow swirl stupp that comes in a water drop shaped little bottle %26amp; its like yellow concealer.. I love it sorry i am not at home or else i could tell you who makes it! But its only about 5 dollars %26amp; works wonders!
lancome stuff is great!!!!
bobbi brown has the best ones.
I used to have some Joe Blasco makeup that covred really well. I use Mac now because there's no place that sells Joe Blasco and I hate to buy makeup off the internet without being able to try out the color to see if it works for my skin tone.
The best thing that works for me is a Body Shop product called ';Lightening Touch'; that comes in 2 shades. It seems to be a highlighter and concealer in one, and really seems to make the dark circles MUCH less noticeable but doesn't clog or crease....not too expensive either!
ive tried that nivea eye shadow cream and the garnier one in the long tube and it really makes your eyes look a lot fresh and no dark cicles in a matter of days well bout a week.
Try Yves St Laurant Touche Eclait. Its about 拢20 but works wonders
You can use a concealer and apply with your fingertip in a dotting motion instead of blending it.
Dulux 'One Coat' should do the trick. 拢13.99 for 5 litres.
Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer
Hi angie; the best thing that i have found and have used now for 6months is the treatment cream from avon, the white cream is for dark circles and the orange gel is to help with eyelid sagginess. it is wonderful, and you can use it under makeup, or all natural. good luck
you can always use cover up to hide dark circles but the best way it to treat them or prevent them. Prevent them with sleep. Treat them with fres cucumbers I know it sounds old fashioned but it works and helps relax you. The quicker option is mary kay indulge eye gel, it's one of their less expensive products that works quickly and the container will last you for monthes.
Origins has the best ones.
Depending on how dark they are, try using a YELLOW concealer. I found that works best for me.
Mary Kay's MK Signature Concealer in yellow. It really hides the dark circles and blends well with foundations.
Touche Eclat from Yves St. Laurnet. This is the best thing ever made. It's a complete miracle working tool. Expensive-but you only need a little bit, and it really works.
Try Mary kay yellow concealer http://www.marykay.com/s_azad/color/conc鈥?/a>
The Body Shop under eye lightening is very very good.
I use an eye cream from Molten Brown (UK) and it makes the puffiness go away and it helps with the darkness too. I also use Clinque concealer.
benefit has a good one but cant remember the name. its a bit pricey but will last for ages so its worth it. ask at a benefit counter - most boots have them- and they will help youHas anyone tried any good cosmetics to cover dark circles under the eyes?
concealers ask in your pharmacy they'l advise u, x

Equivalent to Boots/ Superdrug/ normal cosmetics shop in Spain?
I'm going to Spain next week and I was wondering if there is a Spanish equivalent of boots or superdrug? A chain store that sells make-up/cosmetics which is likely to be found in the town centre?Equivalent to Boots/ Superdrug/ normal cosmetics shop in Spain?
There are plenty such shops in every shopping mall over here. You may find that they are better over here and less expensive.

Which company is better for Cosmetics?
I wanna buy a Moisturizer. Which would be better? Etude or Nivea.
PS: Only tell from these 2, please.Which company is better for Cosmetics?
Nivea products are great! I have never tried them before until I found out that the company doesn't test their products on animals, I bought sunless tanning moisturizers, the Q 10 cellulite cream, and the men's shaving and lotion line for my boyfriend, and they've worked out great!Which company is better for Cosmetics?
Personally I wouldn't use Nivea as it is full of chemicals.
The cheapest and best way of moistursing the skin is to use an oil. Good old olive oil is an excellent food for the skin and cheap, as is Almond Oil. If you want to splash out a little more you can use Rosehip Oil.
Nivea, I use it, really good, you can see the effects with in a few weeks.

Where can I find Laniege cosmetics in the philippines?
Did you try in rustan's? What about in ebay.ph? You can use globe g-cash for your orders, just ask the seller though coz there are only few who don't use such payment method. You also don't have to be registered on globe for that, unless you're the one who's gonna receive the money from somebody else. Good luck!

Makeuptalk is a forum about cosmetics. Ask questions and talk about makeup. Many helpful ladies there!

Makeupalley is a swap site. There is a section with reviews and a makeup chat board (it's kind of difficult to follow).

Asalam waleikum-what are the islamic proofs about the dangers of cosmetics?
Praise be to Allaah.
It is safer not to use beauty products that contain alcohol, because of the difference of opinion as to whether intoxicating substances are naajis (impure) or not. If one is forced to use them and the amount of alcohol contained is very small, then it is OK, in sha Allaah.

Where can I find a MAC (makeup) outlet or a cosmetics outlet that sells MAC in the US?
I don't think MAC has outlet stores. Your best bet is to find The Cosmetics Company Outlet. Sorry, but I don't think they have a website, so search http://yp.yahoo.com for the one nearest to you.
BTW, have you tried NYX cosmetics? They're kind of comparable to MAC and about 1/4 the price. Worth looking at too. :-) Their website is http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/Where can I find a MAC (makeup) outlet or a cosmetics outlet that sells MAC in the US?
I had a friend who worked for Clinique and all the employees got to visit the a special shop were they got stuff so much cheaper! If you know someone who works for one of the Est茅e Lauder companies then befriend them now so they can take you shopping!Where can I find a MAC (makeup) outlet or a cosmetics outlet that sells MAC in the US?
There use to be a cosmetics outlet at Franlin Mills Mall in Phila. They sold Mac there, but only discontinued items.
not sure if this will help, but it's M*A*C's official site store locator.
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/door/finder.tmpl
I have never seen an outlet but it has never been an issue for me to want to go looking for an outlet.
Just check out Nordstrom or Macy's and you should be able to find a MAC.
The first answer was right- The Cosmetics Company Outlet sells MAC at a 30% discount (and other estee lauder owned cosmetic brands like clinique, prescriptives, origins, etc). Just google cosmetics company outlet to see where the nearest one is. They don't usually have a big selection and it's a few seasons old, but if you're not picky it's a great way to buy MAC.
go to thier website and email them?
There isn't one. They do have certain stores called pro-stores that carry more products designed for Professional Make-Up artists. Anyone can shop there. They have stuff you will never find at a counter. But as far as an outlet store not so much. If your looking for M.A.C. products at a discount ask any M.A.C. employee for a membership application to their MACPRO program. or try ebay. Hope this helps.
There is usually a MAC place in a Nordstrom if there is one near you, or in the middle-upper class malls.

Other than fouindation, what cosmetics qualify for the 3-1-1 rule for flying?
Never been on a plane, do not know what make ups I can take or not. I want to take mascara and some lip gloss. Does the lip gloss have to be firm like chapstick or can it be in a squeeze tube?Other than fouindation, what cosmetics qualify for the 3-1-1 rule for flying?
Check the WWW.tsa.gov site for the most up to date info on what to pack/not pack.
Generally you can take lip gloss and mascara in a tube if they are under 3 oz (100gm) each and will fit in a quart ziplock baggie. Basically it applies to ANY product that is a liquid, gel, etc. including toothpaste, hair products, deodorants etc.Other than fouindation, what cosmetics qualify for the 3-1-1 rule for flying?
You can absolutely take your Lancome Juicy Tube!
Just put all the cosmetics you want to take in a ziplock bag. You have to use the quart-sized bags - no freezer bags - and you are only allowed one. The cosmetics themselves have to be 100 ml or less. They can even be opened, but the bottle/container should not be able to hold more than 100 ml (example, mini-sized bottle of mouthwash, with only a tablespoon of liquid left in the bottle is allowed).
This only applies to your carry-on luggage! You may put any non-flammable, non-dangerous liquids in your suitcase (example, economy sized bottles of shampoo; liquor, etc).
The new safety measures are not as bad as you might think. Enjoy your flight!
Gels and liquids need to be 3 oz.orl ess and in your 1 qt. size plastic bag. See TSA site below for all info.

Clinique or Benefit cosmetics for people with oily skin!?
I can't choose which one would be better!
On one hand benefit looks more for my age and on the other its so expensive!
and then Clinique is cheaper but looks like its for older people
P.S. I'm 15 and have oily skin. Please help!Clinique or Benefit cosmetics for people with oily skin!?
I'd say Clinique since they're hypoallergenic and oil-free.
Favorite of oily skins. Blends easily to a smooth, matte finish. Won't clog pores. Excellent oil-free coverage in one application

It doesnt matter which is more for your age group, it just depends on what works for your skin. Try some out and figure out what works for you, and then decide. Also go for something in your budget. There are so many other make up brands so try out as many as you can before you decide.

or is mac better? Is artistry cosmetics better then mac?
well what are you looking for? i normally use eyeliner and shadows and mac to me is just overrated. it slides and smears by mid-day. H.I.P. is the best eyeliner if u get it in that little jar that come with its own little brush. you just need to know what your doing with it. it cost around $12 bucks and the jar last forever. seriously i had mine for three months now and i still got more then half.
shadows... i would go with mac. artistry is good too though. mac has a better selection of color though.
now for foundations? i think that sephora is the best. it has nice mosterizers in it. sunscreen and nice coverage. it also has the best creamy non-oily texture wen you put it on.
hope i helped.you asked kind of a loaded question. every brand is best and specializes in different makeup. Is artistry cosmetics better then mac?
My friend uses Artistry and she says it's better than Mac but it's also really expensive but also one thing about Artistry you have have to get a new foundation like every six months that's what my friend told me

I don't believe miracles are found in a jar, but there are products that can give some visible improvement.

Why is cholesterol such a common ingredient in cosmetics?
Cosmetics such as makeup and lipstickWhy is cholesterol such a common ingredient in cosmetics?
Cholesterol is what holds the lipstick together and stick on your lips. Why is cholesterol such a common ingredient in cosmetics?
and whats up with the animal by products in make up? or is that the cholesterol? idk either way, sick!
It makes lipsticks, cream blushes, concealers, and foundations really smooth and creamy. Before cholesterol was put into cosmetics, whale oil was used, which I think is more disgusting and inhumane. Obviously that ingredient has been banned. I hope that helps!

For a person whose never used or bought make-up before, what kind of cosmetics should i purchase?
To start you need a base(foundation)some people prefer powder though. Get the closest matching color of your facial skin. Next you should pick out if you want eyeliner, if you are pale skinned you should use a brown color, if tanned or darker skinned you use black. Next pick out eyeshadow. If you want a natural look most neutral colors will look good on you, if you want to go more boldly, pick what you think will look good on you. Picking out a mascara is the same that goes for eyeliner, skin toned wise. If you want lipstick pick a color that either closely matches your natural lip color or that enhances your eye color. For lip gloss, which I prefer, get something like Maybelline's shiny*licious. They smell good and don't taste bad either, another good product in lip gloss is L'OREAL's lip gloss collection, sorry the name's rubbed off of my tube. They also smell really good. Next pick out blush. and get a little kit of brushes or get the individual ones. After you finish, use a powder to ';SET'; your makeup, just lighlty dab the powder over your makeup and it helps prevent rubbing and smearing off.
I hope this has helped. You can also go to salon's they offer classes and teach you everything you need to know about makeup and the right colors for you. If you don't have the time or money, go to covergirl.com, maybelline.com, or loreal.com they have special features that help you pick out the right colors for your specific looks and skin tones you want or have. They also tell you how to apply the makeup. For a person whose never used or bought make-up before, what kind of cosmetics should i purchase?
I love and trust MAC make-up. The best thing to do is go to a department store and talk with a make-up artist there and let them give you a make over. That way you get to sample the products and find out if you like them or not. Do that a few times with different cosmetic counters and see which products you like best. Good luck and have fun. Take a friend with you, that will really be fun!!For a person whose never used or bought make-up before, what kind of cosmetics should i purchase?
TRY COVER GIRL, OR JUST GO TO A DEPARTMENT STORE AND ASK THE MAKEUP CONSULTANT (AT THE COUNTER) TO APPLY IT FOR YOU AND SEE HOW YOU LOOK BEFORE YOU SPEND ALOT OF MONEY AND END UP NOT USING THE PRODUCT.
eyeliner, lipgloss, eye shadow and eye mascara. if u want to tone your skin, then perhaps blush, foundation or press powder.
Gloss, mascara, foundation, concealer (a must), shadows, blush.
And as for brands I will recommend either L'oreal or Revlon, they are good brands, not as expensive and they have many different products
buy NEW YORK COMPANY MAKE UP OR MAC
Try growing up to makeup. Start off with some eye shadow, ewearing that everyday. Then later, move on by using some mascara too. Then later add eyeliner. Make sure you use each in stretched out steps.
maybelline or mary kay
It all depends on what kind of look you want to go for and how much money you want to spend. 8 years ago, I never used a lot of cosmetics. I was normally a lipstick kind of girl. But I met a woman who was a Mary Kay consultant, and my skin was never the same. I love Mary Kay so much, that now I'm a consultant. I use it everyday. My skin has never looked or feel better. I love the fact that I can one day be natural or the next night be glamorous, but I still look flawless and pure, and I like that. I also liked the personal service I got from my consultant, which is another reason I became a consultant. I wanted to provide the same level of service that I received.
So that's my personal story. If you want to know more about the products, email me. I'll be happy to work with you.

MAC is, for me, the best make-up. It is light weight, non-greasy and there is something for everyone. Whether you are a pro and like to go for the dramatic looks or if you are a beginner and want the au natural look....MAC can help you out. Don't be scared or shy to tell them exactly what you want.
For a person just beginning to look into makeup, go for a natural look first until you get the hang of it, and then you can experiment. Makeup is fun and can make you look beautiful, and it doesn't even have to cost you much. One of the items you should splurge on though, is a foundation and a concealer. Go to a mac counter for a the makeup artists to match you to your perfect shade. These products are important becuase they can make your skin flawless and if your skin isn't good, makeup that you put on to won't matter much. Have a makeup artist help you pick the best shade for you; if you don't, you run the risk of the product you purchase to come off too peachy or orange on you, and it won't look good.
For a beginner, you should also go out and buy a lipstick, a lipgloss, a blush, and a mascara. Go to makeupalley.com for reviews; you don't need to splurge on these, as there are products in drugstores that are equivilent or even better than department store items. Go for natural shades until you learn to use the products. Once you get the hang of it, you can then start looking into eyeshadow and eyeliners and more high end products. Have fun and experiment (:

Do you ever feel guilty about the money you spend on Makeup and Cosmetics?
Yes. Make-up is expensive. Have you ever noticed there is always a mascarra that promises thick, plump eyelashes?
But I won't go 2 work with out it.Do you ever feel guilty about the money you spend on Makeup and Cosmetics?
No. It is one of my guilty pleasures. I don't wear a lot of make-up, but if I want to drop $100 on some new stuff, I do. Looking good makes you feel good!!Do you ever feel guilty about the money you spend on Makeup and Cosmetics?
im not guilty for being beautiful !!! lol
but sunblock .... is very expensive i always used it!
If I buy a new product and it ends up sitting in my drawer because I don't like it then yes, I do feel guilty. But other than that no. I usually just buy what I use daily at the drugstore. So it's not that expensive. I tried to shop at the department store for cosmetics and I just couldn't spend that much on makeup. Too expensive for me.
NO!!
Hell, no!
not at all!
I love buying cosmetics.
Not really, but mainly because I don't spend that much. I'll usually start with one of the really cheap kinds %26amp; then if I don't like the quality I'll upgrade.
But I simply can't see myself dropping $100 on cosmetics of any sort. I work with people who have a hard time putting food on their table, so spending that much on trying to make myself look good would make me feel incredibly guilty.
Nope! Every penny I spend on it is worth it!
NO, if you don't spend a couple hundred on Bareminerals you will get stuck with stuff you paid 30 dollars on and throw away after one use its so bad!!
NOPE, NOT AT ALL, ITS NOT LIKE I WASTE ALOT OF IT ANYWAY!
Not at all, if you don't pay the prices for the good stuff then you end up with bad nasty producs that are no goog for you skin. You should be able to look good with and with out you makup. So it's all worth it.

Is cosmetics ( bath and body) a recession proof business?
I am on the verge of starting a turn key all natural bath and body collection business. I was wondering if it was a bad time to do this because of the recession? I really have a strong intuition that it will work, and it's now or never. But I wondered is the cosmetic industry a recession proof industry? where can I go to find out more info on forecast for small business? Is cosmetics ( bath and body) a recession proof business?

What do you recommend from MAC cosmetics?
Hi, I wanna start buying MAC products.. but what should I buy?
If it helps I have blue eyes, medium toned brown hair with a reddish tone %26amp; really light olive skin :)What do you recommend from MAC cosmetics?
Ok. So I am a HUGE MAC fan :D I LOVE their products :P Here is what I use and I think it would work absolutely perfect on your skin!
~Pressed Powder: light medium mineralize skinfinish natural
-it's light and makes your skin look soft a smooth
~Bronzing Powder: ';Golden';
-nice to put on your cheeks like blush to give your face dimension
~Sheertone Blush: ';BlushBaby';
-good for times when you want cute rosy cheeks :P
~Eyeliner Pencil: ';Stubborn Brown';
-I put it on my top lid and bottom lashes (one layer smudged and then another thin layer)
-Eye Shadow: ';All that Glitters';
-just a little all over the lid (as a base)
-i like to buy a cheap pallette of colorful shadows to put on over this color. it is amazing and makes your eyes sparkle
I use Clinique concealer because my skin has imperfections :) and Maybeline(sp?) mascara (they have a different kind for every eyelash type. go with whatever one suits your needs the best- volumizing, thinkening, etc-)
-hope I helped :)
email me if you have any questionsWhat do you recommend from MAC cosmetics?
a paint pot http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/spp.鈥?/a> pot it helps the vibrancy of the shadows, and helps hold onto the makeup, you can use their shadows too but idk, i don't like the price it seems kinda silly to spend $15 on one color.
for eye shadow i like to use the palettes from Coastal Scents, the 88 shimmer palette in particular, it has 88 colors for $20, and its very good quality, and extremly pigmented, if you like matte colors they have the same thing with out the shimmer
http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/鈥?/a>

MAC also has nice brushes, but the prices are crazy (in my opinion, but they are a good quality, but honestly even if something isn't expensive it doesn't necissarily mean its not good quality) http://www.maccosmetics.com/flash/brush_鈥?/a>
1. their 239 brush. it's an eyeshadow brush and it's simply amazing for packing on color
2. get an eyeshadow in either wedge, shroom, cork, or sable. they're all neutral browns and look good on anyone :)
3. plush lash mascara. works great and makes your eyelashes look amazing!
hope i helped :)

Have you ever made your own cosmetics? Body lotion or facial cream?
I am definately going to make my own organic facial cream but I'd like to know just a basic recipe with NO wax in it. I don't want to use bee's wax or coco butter because it clogs my pores, however I like it on my body.
anyway is there a way, a RECIPE for a good facial cream. I have lots of great idea's concerning which ingredients to add, ect. and am so looking 4ward 2 it!!
was lookin online but haven't found the recipe yet.

Yeah I do these things all the time.
There was this one recipe which I conjured up. I added flour, milk, crushed oatmeal, rose water and honey. It was actually very great, not too sticky and not too fluid-ish. You just keep adding one thing or another until you get the right 'texture'. Now I use this on my dry skin and it does wonders! The oatmeal is supposed to exfoliate and rose water is a mild antiseptic. Dunno what the honey and milk exactly do but they sure are good for dry skin!
That's my recipe anyways..
I hope I helped!

How do people afford MAC Cosmetics?
I just went to mac today and bought 1 lip glass, 3 eye shadows, 1 paint pot,1 eye liner and brushes and it totaled 188!!!!! I'm thinking about returning some of it..... How do people on youtube and stuff afford to have tons of eyeshadow and every brush in the book??How do people afford MAC Cosmetics?
usually I buy a one or two items every 3-6 months that way I don't feel the pinch I never buy them all in one shot cuz like u said it totaled $$$How do people afford MAC Cosmetics?
First off never bye the brushes at any store like that, they're overpriced and not worth it. Instead go to target they have brushes that are just as good by brands like Sonia Kashuk or Eco Tools (I personally like eco tools better). Then never bye the makeup from Mac! Go to an outlet store that sells high end makeup lines and you can usually get 15 to 30 percent the products sold at mac.
most of the money from my paycheck goes the makeup
so for the most part i think thats the case
or they come from a rich family that will spend that much money on them , and really my makeup collection has built up over time,
i also ALWAYS buy MAC makeup from ebay, they have amazing deals,
so you just have to have patience, and if you want good makeup you dont always have to go to MAC there are a lot of other products out there that are just as good and dont cost as much
YouTubers generally have sponsorsrs who send them make-up and they also have jobs.

so for the most part i think thats the case
or they come from a rich family that will spend that much money on them , and really my makeup collection has built up over time,
i also ALWAYS buy MAC makeup from ebay, they have amazing deals,
so you just have to have patience, and if you want good makeup you dont always have to go to MAC there are a lot of other products out there that are just as good and dont cost as much
YouTubers generally have sponsorsrs who send them make-up and they also have jobs.
Has anyone tried Mary Kay cosmetics?
I am invited to a facial party, if you have been to one, what do you think? What can I expect? Are the products good?Has anyone tried Mary Kay cosmetics?
It's a fun girl thing. You get to try all the make-up removing products and moisturizers, and you even get to pick through samples of foundations, eye shadows, lipsticks, and blushes. BUT beware because my experience with Mary Kay consultants is that they will hound you and hound you to buy, buy, buy!Has anyone tried Mary Kay cosmetics?
they have a great line of skin care....
I think the parties are fun ..of the make up..i only like the foundation and I like their skin products...such as the timewise 3 in 1 cleanser and the timewise lotions are really great.I was talked into buying all kinds of stuff about a year ago..the whole make up kit and I don't use any of ot..i don't like any of their make up but the full coverage foundation.
My Aunt is a Mary kay director so you can say I have been to many facial parties. they are extremely fun. there will only be girls there so it;s a nice time away from the boyfriend. I will tell ya that you are going to want to take some money. you dont have to buy anything but they will sit you down and ask you what caught your eye and if you were going to be purchasing it that night. Also they are going to ask if Mary kay is something that you would like to do....If it's not then tell them NO!.......I hope you have a great time..
P.S. the products are amazing...!
yes i used to wear mary kay make up along time ago i used to sell it also the products are really good but expensive
I have never been to one of their parties..it sounds like alot of fun. I do have some of their products. They make good stuff, it is more expensive then Avon or cosmetics at drug stores, to me, they all work the same.
yes i tried mary kay, they have a lot of varities of colors, and shades, i like them because the colors lasts and stays solid.
You don't know unless you try. Go have a few laughs what is it going to hurt. You don't have to buy anything. I don't care for Mary Kay, but that's me. My mother wears their make-up all the time and she loves it. Go for it and enjoy!
uhh no. n i wouldnt advice it either MAC is my fav but loreal is good too. =]
Those parties are always a lot of fun. I think the make up is a very good product, but expensive. I usually end up buying maybe an eye shadow or a lip gloss. Something small, but not too much money.
Mary Kay is very good makeup and they have a great skin care line. And the best thing is, if you buy something and then decide you don't like it, for whatever reason, they'll refund your money. And the facial parties are FUN!
I like it. Esp the lipstick.
I think the crap is for old ladies.......I don't like it
they don't test on animals :]
but their make-up can be pricey

Where can I find stila cosmetics here in Canada, cheap?
Okay, so I went to Sephora today and saw STILA, OH EM GEE, I absolutely love it, especially their convertible color (lips, eyes, cheeks) and saw the price! O_O! It's like $33 EACH! and I'm like, Oh Man! So, please tell me some places, online or stores or whatever, where I can find cheap stila cosmetics. Try not to give me Ebay please xP (not against it or anything though) I live in Canada =] Thanks.Where can I find stila cosmetics here in Canada, cheap?
Finding products ';cheap'; when they're actually on the expensive side, is usually a red flag because it's most likely used and/or a fake.
I suggest going on websites such as http://www.Makeupalley.com and http://www.specktra.net (Specktra is an amazing site!!) and look at their swaps. A lot of women (and men) will send their make-up they no longer want for a price or another product.
Stila is a pretty expensive company (more expensive than MAC) and you're not gonna find a genuine Stila product unless it's through a swap.
Have you tried searching the ULTA website? http://www.ulta.com
Good luck

What do Christians and Muslims believe about animal testing for cosmetics?
There is no such thing as ';ethical treatment of animals'; in the Jewish, Christian, or Muslim faiths. The only things that comes close are as follows:
1) You must kill them quickly by slitting their throats and letting them bleed out (kosher law).
2) You cannot have sex with them.
No other religious regulation exists for how to treat them. What do Christians and Muslims believe about animal testing for cosmetics?
I don't think it's addressed in the Bible. I'd probably be more likely to share the concerns of those concerned about this issue if they shared my concerns on abortion, but I find they rarely, if ever do.What do Christians and Muslims believe about animal testing for cosmetics?
I just wonder what's going into cosmetics that's even potentially harmful enough to humans that we would feel the need to test them on animals. I think it's morally indefensible, although I can think of certain situations in which animal testing might be allowable, e.g. in developing therapies that could save human lives. Oh, but I'm an atheist.
idk, but eating them is bad enough. and i don't agree with the bible on that score.
It's alright because animals are lower than us.
:::::Not My View:::::
Cosmetics = Worthless Vanity (i mean if they atleast had some other positive effect you could argue - like with fitness - not only is it looking good it IS good, but no cosmetics are all vanity)
Animal testing = cruelty.
/Catholic.
I'm a man i don't buy beauty products...
Um . . well I don't buy 'beauty products' period, and I'm not sure. God gave us animals for our uses, but not for our abuse. In my opinion animal testing is abuse and is a sin that should be stopped right away. I'm not sure if this comes from religion or my private opinions.
Testing on animals is very wrong!
such testings did not occur at the time the books were recited so they are not mentioned in the holy books though humanity would not be allowed to kill or torture any other living thing that wont harm humanity.
if you are asking for my own opinion i think it is wrong

Do people really make lots of money with Mary Kay Cosmetics?
Not really unless you've been in the business a long time. It depends on the sales person, how many people they know, and just how persistent they can be when it comes to selling. A few older women that sell this brand have been around forever and they have lots of contacts, so they probably do okay, but as far as making a lot of money, I seriously doubt it. They used to only make a percentage off of what they sold.
Mary Kay is really of a more mature woman's makeup, in my opinion. I always found this brand of makeup to be much heavier and mainly for women that were trying to cover up age spots and things like that. I'm not sure if any of their skin care products actually do anything for wrinkles either. All in all, I honestly don't know very many young women that like makeup that heavy, but it has also been a very long time since I even went to one of the Mary Kay parties. I like to have good coverage, but I also want my skin to be able to breathe and I did not get that feeling when I had their makeup on. I also wasn't crazy about the colors they had to offer. The last thing I want is to look ten years older than I actually am.
I went to one Mary Kay party a long time ago and I did not like their makeup products. I prefer my good, tried and true hypoallergenic products because I have very sensitive skin. I don't know for sure, but I think you have to buy an entire kit of products and if you don't do well selling them, I'm not sure whether you get your money back for the cost of the kit or even a portion of it. But I think, initially, you have to make a fairly good size investment (approx. $200.00) for the product line, plus you are required go to their seminars which are time consuming. I guess if you know lots and lots of people, you might be able to make extra money, but most of my friends and I don't like it when someone we know has parties, wanting us all to buy something. We feel like we are being used and they tend to try to 'bleed us dry.' Many people that are close to my age don't like their products -- I just get the impression that a lot of Mary Kay's makeup and skin care line is outdated.Do people really make lots of money with Mary Kay Cosmetics?
I know some that do, some that don't. It depends.
My former roommate does it and she makes some extra cash on the side, but she sort of does it as a hobby. The lady that's above her has already earned at least 2 cars and has made a very good living from it. She happens to know a lot of people, have a lot of connections and she's VERY persistent and getting people to recruit and buy things. She's good at what she does.Do people really make lots of money with Mary Kay Cosmetics?

depending on how long you work for them and how big you build your section. I know people who make very good money and I know people who do ok with mary kay. It depends on where you live and how many people you know. The more women around who want mary kay the better you do. But yes you can make REALLY good money.
Absolutely we do. As for gardenia I'm sure she meant well but most of what she said is incorrect.
If you are looking into it as a possible business for yourself get the facts from a MK consultant or Director. As a matter of fact my Mary Kay director sold Avon for years and didn't make money but is very successful with MK. If you are just asking out of curiosity then I believe you will get mixed answers just like any job it works for some and not for others but with Mary Kay your success is ultimately up to you.
My mom is a Mary kay consultant and she is like, rich now! i swear! She always has people calling and buying. it's so cool. now I can buy whatever i want cuz we actully have the money smartest move my mom ever made! =)

Does MAC and Clinique cosmetics charge tax?
I remember I bought the high definition Clinique mascara, and I don't think they charged tax.
I plan on buying some mint green eyeliner from MAC, and Clinique concealer and bronzer, and I have the EXACT money, no room for extra.
Do they charge tax? If so, I'm going to have to find a few extra dollars xDDoes MAC and Clinique cosmetics charge tax?
I know MAC doesn't but I can't remember about Clinique...although I'm pretty sure they don't unless you order from their website which I know they do.

Nicole Miller has a great line that you can market. She also sells clothes at J.C. penny have you heard of her?
Hello,
I am a Avon Independent Sales Representative/eRep. I chose to have my own website on-line so my long-distant customers, friends and family can shop 24/7 at their own convenience. This is a great way for me to still be their Avon eRep. So to your question I would say It depends on the company you work for. But, I do know before you advertise your business you need to read terms, policies, guidelines on how to advertise in each place that you want to advertise in. I hope this helps!!

How price sensitive US consumers are about cosmetics? How do they buy cosmetics? What shades they prefer?
This is a little difficult to answer because it's a broad question, but from my observations and experience most of the people I know will spend a good amount of money on cosmetics. Most of my friends usually buy from MAC or Sephora because their make-up is good quality.
People nowadays mostly buy recognizable name brands (MAC, Sephora, L'Oreal, Revlon, etc.) I tend to get different things from Sephora and Maybelline. And as far as I know, people can get their cosmetics from stores such as Wal-Mart or going to actual make-up stores such as Sephora which carries a number of brands.
I'm thinking you mean eyeshadow when you say shades, so shades are usually determined by the seasons. For example, in the summer shades such as reds, oranges, yellows, and anything bright go, where in the winter it's more smokey, green, blue, and cool colors. The seasons don't necessarily determine what shades are popular, it's really more of what a person is looking for and what shades look good with what clothes you're wearing. Hope this helps a little! How price sensitive US consumers are about cosmetics? How do they buy cosmetics? What shades they prefer?
it really don't matter the price, it's the brushes you use,my girls are wearing the pinks in lip sticks as in bubble gum.reds and dark corals are out, it's the light powerd colours that i use on them and advive them to use.the blush should be a light red, as a water mellon, or pink.

Could you tell me something about the history of Cosmetics?
Hi there,
The history of cosmetics is very interesting and old.
I've read a very good article about this:
A lot of criticism of cosmetics has come from a variety of sources, including feminists, animal rights activists, authors and public interest groups. In the western world, the advent of cosmetics was in the middle ages, although typically restricted to use within the upper classes. The Romans and Ancient Egyptians used cosmetics containing poisonous mercury and often lead. During the 20th century, the popularity of cosmetics increased rapidly. Many companies have catered to this expanding market by introducing more flavored lipsticks and glosses, cosmetics packaged in glittery, sparkly packaging and marketing and advertising using young models. While there is assurance from the largest cosmetic companies that their various ingredients are safe to use, there is a growing preference for cosmetics that are without any ';synthetic'; ingredients, especially those derived from petroleum. Even though many products in cosmetics are regulated, there are many health concerns that come from harmful chemicals in these products. The manufacture of cosmetics is currently dominated by a small number of multinational corporations that originated in the.....

What does ';consumable cosmetics'; mean?
I'm talking a flight from NY to Rome on Alitalia next week and I've been reading their carry on regulations. They say that I can not bring ';consumable cosmetics';. What does that mean? I want to bring pressed powder, blush and eyeshadow powder. Would any of those not be allowed on board due to the new safety regulations? What does ';consumable cosmetics'; mean?
Your best best would be to either pack your cosmetics in your checked luggage or call the airline and ask specifically what you may bring, otherwise you might end up having to purchse all new make-up when you arrive in Rome!
I found an article posted below with more detailed info. Hope this helps! What does ';consumable cosmetics'; mean?
consumable means edible. so that means edible cosmetics, sounds silly, but they`re coming soon !

For females who are in boot camp are they allowed to bring basic cosmetics like powder, lip gloss...ect?
How difficult is boot camp for the ladies? Do we have to cut our hair short, take showers with lots of other girls, do we all sleep in one big room? I just wanted to know what to expect if I sign up for the army. For females who are in boot camp are they allowed to bring basic cosmetics like powder, lip gloss...ect?
No powder, makeup (you're gonna be sweating, living in a fox hole, out on the range in the rain, going on 10 mile marches, setting up tents, eating in a mess hall, wearing a kevlar, nope, no makeup required for that), no you don't have to cut your hair, pony tails are the best if it's long, yes you will take showers with other female soldiers, yes you will sleep in one big room/rooms. You'll have a good time though cause you all will be suffering together and you'll make some lifelong friends as well as experience different cultures. God Bless you.For females who are in boot camp are they allowed to bring basic cosmetics like powder, lip gloss...ect?
Just wanted to add that the Navy DOES require haircuts for women. It must be off the collar, and I would recommend getting it cut yourself ahead of time rather than having them do it during processing. Report Abuse
You can take the makeup, just don't expect to be allowed to wear it. You really wouldn't, as you will be spending a lot of time getting dirty.
The only time the Army makes a female get her hair cut short, is if she can't, or won't keep it up and off her collar (get used to a bun, or French twist).
You will most likely share a room with 1 - 2 other females and being male and retired for the last 10 years, I cannot guess at the shower facilities, but would imagine that they are still communal.
Sure you can bring it. It will look nice on graduation day. You really won't be needing it until then, though.
You can keep your hair long, if you can put it up in a bun so that none of it hanging out. It has to be able to stay in, even while climbing obstacles and doing exercises. My hair is very long, it reaches the small of my back. My trick is to put in a pony tail, braid the ponytail, put another tie on the end, then twist the whole thing around in a bun, applying another hairtie around the whole bun. It's neat, and won't budge.
Showers are limited and there usually aren't any curtains. Sometimes two girls have to share a shower head. You might all be in the same room. I was lucky, we were in old regular army (not recruit) barracks, so there were only three women in my room. But they took the doors off, so it wasn't a ton of privacy...
Leave your cosmetics at home you can not have anything scented or ever lacy bras. You do not have to cut your hair short but it has to be long enough to be pulled back because it can not touch your collar. Taking showers with others will be a necessity and get used to peeing in front of them too for drug tests. You will sleep in on big room and everyone will be responsible for cleaning but some will be lazy.
Powder and lip gloss? You are not supposed to look pretty during this time. You will be training for war, thus lip gloss would be useless.
Hell no!
yes, do this, send me a video of your succes

A question for people who have worked at or are familiar with Mac Cosmetics.?
So I bought this one lipglass from the Hello Kitty Collection when it first came out. The Lipglass is called Sweet Strawberry and I'm almost out. Do any of you know what other lipglass from mac are a good dupe for that color or is there some other brand with a lipgloss that has a color that's pretty similar.A question for people who have worked at or are familiar with Mac Cosmetics.?

What's the best brand for eye cosmetics?
I've been using L'oreal %26amp; Revlon %26amp; sometimes Sonia Kashuk but they don't really seem to be REALLY good. %26amp; I want to try something new at a higher budget. So what would you suggest?
Lancome, Estee, Clinique, or Shiseido? What's the best brand for eye cosmetics?
Honestly MAC is, hands down. The quality is PHENOMENAL and the price point is a little cheaper than Lancome or Shiseido. You have more options and people willing to show you tons of cool ways to wear it for everyday or partytime. Definitely visit a makeup counter. You can't get direction and ask questions and techniques at the drug store. Remember brushes are important. i REALLY recommend MAC for that too. I am a makeup artist (have been for 10 years) and in my opinion it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE brand to work with of them all for any age! Go have fun! GO TRY MAC!!!What's the best brand for eye cosmetics?
in order:
NARS (eyeshadow, eyeliner)
MAC (eyeshadow, eyeliner)
Chanel (eyeshadow and mascara)
Dior (mascara)
their eyeshadows have wonderful colors, lasts long, looks great, etc etc. they're the best i've ever used. a lil bit expensive but they're worth every penny. mascaras are perfect, no flaws, and the eyeliner is great! drugstore brands are cheap and they don't work well.
out of your choices, i would have to say Lancome is the best, clinique is just horrible, shiseido and estee lauder are average.
Mac eyeshadows...they have beautiful colors to choose from and they have great staying power.
Mascara- Dior Show, or Lash Fusion
Eyeliner- I use Almay and I love it.
Good luck!
I have always used Maybelline and Almay, they work great!
Shu Uemura!!!!
I did use MAC until suddenly the products didn't seem of the same quality. I know some really hard core MAC gals that sold almost their whole collection because of the lack of quality in the past year.
The great thing about Shu is you don't have so many colors that are too similar yet there is a vast choice of colors. They also have great textures and are easy to depot if you so choose.
Get MAC. They have beautiful eye color cosmetics
MAC
I really like MAC with the under shadow toner it mkes the color stand out more. also, Lancome and L'oreal is my favorite, and Maybelline. get some good brushes too!
Lancome
i love estee lauder
For eyelids - Clinique, MAC, Loreal
For lashes - Lancome for SURE!!
For liner - Rimmel, Lancome
For lips - Lancome has great glosses if you like sheer
urm lancome and estee lauder are great...but they smear a lil. it mite depend on da type on eye makeup u buy. waterproof or noramal? i use cover girl and mabelline too. works great!
I would also suggest using MAC.
I use MAC paint as an eyeshadow base, and then apply the eyeshadow over that. It stays! Plus, MAC shadows blend really well and there are a ton of colors!
You should go to a MAC store and talk to the girls there. They are really helpful and you can tell them what you want and they'll give you great advice!
Mac eyeshadow is very pretty, and very colorful, but it isn't hypoalergenic. The best overall would probably be Clinique, but they are more of a skincare line, so the colors wouldn't be as great. Lancome would probably be the most well rounded, the colors are nice, and it's not bad for your skin.
Shiseido
Try Bobbi Brown, or MAC; both are excellent.
I wear nothing but mary kay. I am an Independent Beauty Consultant with the company but for 4 years before I became one, I wore nothing but. I love the feel and honestly if I fall out before I take off my makeup at night, I wake up with it still on. It doesnt have that rub off thing going on. There are several types of mascara and there is liquid eyeliner and twist up liner, we even have a nice eye primier to help your makeup stay on longer. Give it a try you WILL like.
Maybe she's born with it; maybe it's maybelline. They're good
mac is actually not that good i know what your goin through and they dont work if you are goin for a lot higher budget then go for dior and chanel if thats 2 expensive then use clinique or smashbox there excellent!!! good luck hope it helps
I think AVON is one of the best! Honestly its all I use! I have tried alot of the others and always go back to AVON! And you can get pretty good deals on it! www.avon.com

Who wants to stop animal testing for cosmetics?
My older sister had to do a research project on animal testing for cosmetics, I learned a lot of it from her just want to know if you guys want to stop and just think of your dog or cat or rat is being tested on that is sad they die for us to look good or to feel good so just thinkWho wants to stop animal testing for cosmetics?
The best way too do that is through direct action. If you want the torture to stop find a place that does it and carefully stake it out and study the building then don your favorite all black or all camo clothes plus a nice face mask and go liberate some animals or if you are not able to do that then there is a campaign against a company called Huntingdon Life Sciences formerly one of the largest vivesectionists in the US and UK but thanks to many office and home demos and other protests and actions against them they are millions of dollars in debt and in the past week about 4 more investors have dropped and in the past they have been dropped from the stock market twice and are back on as LSR. Learn more: http://www.insidehls.com/
Then get folks together and start protesting investors the biggest one being Vanguard investments find out were they live and get some signs and bullhorn and let them know they need to drop HLS now or sink with HLS.
Thinking is great but action is always better, just remember to be safe and be careful and study laws and such before you go out or if doing something illegal protect yourself and do not under any circumstances talk about what you did or what you might do nor should you wear clothes that are recognizable or harm the animals in any way.Who wants to stop animal testing for cosmetics?
I want all animal testing to stop. It's unscientific, and of course barbaric.
I am in the UK but there are still loads of cosmetics companies to avoid, e.g. L'Oreal (which owns lots of other things including Maybelline and The Body Shop) who I believe get around the law by testing their new formulas outside of the UK.
I agree - if it was YOUR pet, maybe you (';you'; as in ';one';) wouldn't be so comfortable with the experiments they carry out (remember, mostly without anaesthetic).
I want to stop it. I already don't use products tested on animals. But I still want the tests to stop. There are people who volunteer to have things like that tested on. And an doctors have even said that they have no use for information gained by most of these tests, because humans and animals are different. I see no point in animal testing, they're only trying to keep themselves covered.
I don't buy any products that have been tested on animals. I won't use ANY Proctor %26amp; Gamble products, even the paper products, because they test on animals. Unfortunately, most companies that don't test on animals anymore did test on animals in the past so most things on the market have probably been tested on animals at one point in time. All prescription medications are tested on animals; it's the law.
Animal Testing is totaly cruel. Many if not all rats now die from tumors because they used to be tested for cancer so much, and still are. As a result, tumors are practicaly in their blood. Testing for make up is even worse!
me, definitely. i buy almost all of my hair products and cosmetics organic and pretty much all organic stuff like that is cruelty-free. well, at least all of my stuff...
They should test them on convicted murderers and rapists, not harmless, innocent animals.
Or if people want to sell cosmetics %26amp; profit from it, they should test them on themselves. No pain, no gain.
i hate animal testing, but here in the UK, most products aren't tested on animals so it is quite easy
ME!! Right here!! Answering this question!! Stop it now!! Bad and immoral!! I'm gone!! Goodbye!!
It's illegal in the UK, and they still come up with now products. Don't understand why we can't do the same here.
I want to!
Like one guy said, they should test it on people who are actually going to use it.
They should test them on women instead.
I believe human life is more valuable than animal life, so I would rather they test it on animals than humans.
Psssst, that's been over for years.

Boots is always good - they should sell covergirl there...
and if all else fails, just go to a supermarket. they'll sell it there in packets (so you can't use testers, like you could in boots)..
hope this helps...

I'd like to sell cosmetics and do makeovers, but not with Avon or Mary Kay, because everyone is doing that.
Any suggestions of other simliar opportunities that would involved doing makeovers and selling cosmetics? Thanks!I'd like to sell cosmetics and do makeovers, but not with Avon or Mary Kay, because everyone is doing that.
Hi there. I've been with Arbonne since April of 2006 and love it! Arbonne started in 1975 and was brought to the US in 1980. People love Arbonne's products and see results, keeping them coming back as loyal customers. I love educating people on the proper uses of skin care and the benefits of using our pure, safe, and beneficial products (including our About Face Color - a full line of cosmetics). Some of the ways that we share Arbonne are through in home presentations including Make-up Madness parties with make-overs. Arbonne has a generous compensation plan with free online training on all of our products and opportunity and upline support. It's only $29 to start with no monthly minimums, no inventory, no territories to limit growth, no mandatory meetings, with online ordering and direct shipping for your consumers. You can earn on 7 avenues of income to help you build a successful home based business including retail profit, bonuses, Mercedes Benz Program, overrides, life insurance benefits, travel opportunities, and monthly campaign and incentive programs.
You can read about Arbonne's success stories, corporate information, product knowledge, and company info on their website. It's so easy and so much fun. I have the opportunity to work with my closest friends and family while doing something that I love and am passionate about. I would be happy to share more about what I do with you. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to email me and I'll be happy to help you.

If you're really good at make-up, just apply at your favorite booth at macy's.
MAC is excellent, and you could see if they have any openings.
Also, if you have a local ULTA store, you could work there.
Try Bare Minerals at the Sephora stores. They're awesome, and the looks are great.
MARK is a really good one, really good makeup too!

I am a distributor for Neways in Australia and am very excited about the opportunity they offer and the fabulous safety-conscious formulas they produce in all their product ranges. From that point of view their make up is UNIQUE in that it contains no potentially harmful ingredients and is actually good for your skin. You are rewarded for the amount of effort you put in with unlimited earning potential which is purely dependent on your drive. I would be happy to provide you with more information.
There are SO many cosmetics companies out there so, regardless of what you choose, you need to have a unique selling point to help convert people over to using the products you will be recommending.
Good Luck with whatever you choose.
Arbonne but get all you facts sometimes there is a reason everyone seems to be doing the other two :) Even though it's not true there are plenty of people walking around with skin that still need a rep from both those companies or all the others would be out of business.
If you change your mind and at least want to hear the facts about MK before you decide against it let me know. We are currently running a contest.
I would urge you to look at Forever Living Products. Great Products Great Opportunity. visit wwwbeeplus.myflpbiz.com. Look it over think about it . Good Luck
just stay away from the multi levels. they are so lame. i use bee-luscious maybe contact someone like them and see if they hire reps. just look em up on-line and call em or somethin'. besides their stuff is like very high end so you'll be better than those multi-levels any way.
