Can anyone send me some details on cosmetics and the basic details about make-up?

You are a little vague here. I'll give most of the basics I know.

1. Never use oil based make-up. Water-based is the best. For powders, use talc-based.

2. Lip and cheek must not match.

3. Blush-on must be added to the nose, forehead, and chin, too, to look most natural.

4. Dark eyeshadow always means nude pale lips, or you'd look like a vampire.

5. Eyebrows should be a shade or two lighter than hair color.

6. Glossy lips are best worn at night. You look like you didn't wipe after a steak lunch during the day otherwise.

7. Matches for color-compliment freaks: eyeshadow to clothes, lips to nails.

8. Make-up removal can make or break your face. Use water-based and soap-free creams or foams.

9. Curl and brush your lashes first before applying mascara. And when you do, look up and then down.

10. Always make sure neck and face are in the same tone. Never use powders or liquid foundations that don't match or are very far from your skin tone. To test, dab some on the inside of your wrist. If it blends in, good. Can anyone send me some details on cosmetics and the basic details about make-up?
